INTERNO VERTICALE
Place: Milan
Year: 2014
Project team: Davide Fabio Colaci, Margherita Sanfelici with Francesco Gut
Photography: Michele Nastasi
Client: Private

The project of this apartment in Porta Romana re-interprets classic “Milanese home” interiors of the beginning of the twentieth century through out a new distribution of floors and functional areas. Thanks to the demolition of the existing floor and the construction of a new intermediate level, the spaces become wider and natural light is diffused by the coverage, highlighting a new verticality. The heart of the project consists in the movement experience, in the perception of sequential spaces and light. Interior design goes into some essential pieces of furniture, integrating architectural shapes and designing “rooms suspended in other rooms”.
