The Teatrino Politico (Political Theater) is a paper artifact designed on the model of the small-format optical boxes fashionable in the first half of the 18th century. It is a simulated space without function that works on the abstract and emotional representation of the contemporary political dimension. It combines permanent states of ambiguity through objects, architecture, surfaces and characters capable of being “exception” from context. The Teatrino Politico is an enigmatic autonomous interior that uses the representational and symbolic dimension of politics and protest as a freely usable structure, the nature of which is predominantly scenographic. Artifact presented for the exhibition “Politics” at Subalterno 1 gallery in Milan, curated by Andrea Gianni.
