The project, still under construction, involves the renovation of an old Electric Mill on the outskirts of Mantua and the construction of two new stairwells inside its courtyard. Operating until a few decades ago, the structure was reinstated during the earthquakes of the past century with elements, beams, and pillars of “other” buildings, generating an orderly pastiche of a religious-industrial nature. This “editing” process guided the renovation of the building into three homes where the signs of time and recovery will be highlighted as formal parts.
