Convivium was born from the idea of enhancing the expressiveness of Marimar stones. Marimar is a company specialized in marble research and processing. Ten domestic objects for the table, designed by ten designers, enhance the moment of sharing and being together, inhabiting the table like a symbolic and surreal landscape. Everyone interpreted the material nature of the stones, expressing the material’s ability to be transformed, worked, and told through its daily use. The installation, designed for Milan Design Week 2021, aims to create a light and solid atmosphere at the same time: a large transparent plexiglass table, an archetype of conviviality, on which the ten objects float.
