Casa CCC is a holiday home for three families in Santa Maria di Leuca. The architectural volume divided into three floors (one per household) is designed to optimize the possibilities offered by the lot and local regulations. A façade with a staircase helps create a direct, lived-in relationship with the street, enhancing the ritual of living the building’s outdoor spaces. On the opposite side, a deep loggia draws a more composed elevation, which acts by extending the breadth of the living area. The loggias overlook a “secret” courtyard; a small sculpture garden that plays with the elements of light, shadow and water. The white Salento wall and the different surface treatments of Lecce stone are the material characteristics that govern the whole project, imagining a simple and sunbathed Mediterranean architecture.
