The project comes from the idea of re-establishing a formal contact with the large terrace on the top floor of an elegant building in a Milanese courtyard. The penthouse is composed of a series of large custom-designed furnishings capable of making the space fluid by articulating it. The staircase, clad in mud-colored earthenware, soars to the terrace on the upper floor without touching it, protected like an aviary by the handrail. Natural light from above marks this separation and modulates the space below in an iridescent way, forming a domestic theater that mixes colors and textures according to a chromatic range inspired by the Milanese upper class of the 1950s that mixed fine woods, metals, and concrete in a soft and never aggressive expressiveness.
