INTERIOR FOR A MAN
Place: Milano
Year: 2015
Project team: Davide Fabio Colaci with Riccardo Ferrari

Client: Private
The project begun with the client, a young collector, willing to preserve traces of the twentieth century nature of the house. The domestic space is articulated by a concrete threshold separating the living room from the study through a transition system generating a spatial autonomy. A thickness which amplifies the rituality of the passage from one room to another, while simultaneously changing the domestic and architectural scale. The concrete threshold is a separate and autonomous space which supports the elements contained in the architrave. Each room is recognizable by a carpet of “graniglia” of different colour which figuratively isolates the perception of an environment with another.
