‘Home for a Family’, is a project for a young couple with two children. The project retains the original distribution of the apartment and only intervenes on the surface values: colours, textures and materials, giving fluidity and an informal nature to the sequences of spaces. The epicentre of the apartment is hierarchized by a “equipped” two-colour threshold with a circular window separating the terrace above the entrance. The walls and ceilings are treated as sceneries to absorb or reflect the natural light and, at the same time, enhancing the relationship between the background, the furniture and the objects belonging to the family.
